Brian Lang
Back in 2019, I was at a crossroads with my job application process. I just couldn’t respond to enough LinkedIn postings to generate the interviews I needed to progress and move forward. Also working against me was that by the time I would get an interview I was exhausted from my day job and felt so lost during the process. It was one phone call to the next and I wasn’t getting anywhere.
So, I created a process to help myself. I put together a team to respond to postings on my behalf, got my resume professionally touched up and got sensible coaching on what to say and do in interviews and more importantly someone finally explained to me the different stages of interviews and who I would likely be speaking with.
Finally, I had a plan, a direction and confidence. I felt like I was on the same footing as the company I was interviewing with. I knew that my process would bring me another interview if this opportunity didn’t work out. My desperation faded away and I knew what I wanted and I wasn’t no longer afraid to ask for it and search it out.
